My new spring skin care routine (for women over 40)
I wanted to share with you my current skin care routine, because my skin is really enjoying it. I have recently started again to use Retin-A (I haven't used Retin-A for over 2 years!). Yes, I use a ton products by Derma e. I just happen to really like their products! They do not cost an arm and a leg and contain great ingredients, such as vitamins and antioxidants. They are even by dermatologists recommended (for example by Dr. Gervaise Gerstner), clinically tested and also cruelty-free!
My easy 3-step morning routine:
I usually do not wash my face in the morning with soap (except if I feel very oily). I just wash it with water in the shower. Then my easy 3 steps include:
One of my favorite Vitamin C serums packed with antioxidants but also with plumping Hyaluronic Acid, Aloe and Vitamin E!
This lightweight, tinted sunscreen does double duty as a tinted moisturizer that also evens out my complexion and protects from the sun! This looks so natural and makes my face look healthy instantly. I feel like even my wrinkles on my forehead look smother with this- maybe because it is formulated with Squalane! This stuff is amazing!
3. Replenix Brightening Eye Cream // Amazon
This is a tinted eye cream that is really genius! Not only does it contain plumping ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid, Edelweiss Flower and Peptides, it also instantly conceals darker circles. It has a peachy color that works great to conceal my slightly purple under-eye areas. On most days I do not need to apply another concealer on top of this (only if I did not sleep well lol).
My easy 3 step evening skin care routine:
1. Derma e Skin Firming Antioxidant Cleanser with Copper Peptides // Ulta
This lathers really well, has a great thick gel-like consistency and is strong enough to deep cleanse my face without stripping it. I like it!
2. Derma e Anti-Wrinkle Toner with Vitamin A & Glycolic Acid // Amazon
A really gentle toner that exfoliates with Glycolic Acid. My skin says: YES!
This is a great moisturizer that I can highly recommend! It feels moisturizing but still light-weight. It contains fancy things like: DMAE, known as nature's firming agent, Alpha Lipoic Acid, known as the universal antioxidant and C-Ester plus moisturizing Jojoba Oil and nourishing Vitamins A and E. My current fave!
I have tips how to get Retin-A without a prescription here!
