Catrice Makeup Review

So funny, but when I wrote last year in January about Catrice, I did not expect that it will launch anytime soon here in the U.S.- but they did! So you don´t have to go overseas (Catrice is a German drugstore brand and the bigger sister of essence) to get your hands on some affordable cruelty free Catrice items- just hop into your local Ulta! ;-)

I am gonna review today a couple of new items for you, so you know which ones to get and which ones to skip!

Let´s get started with the Luminous lipsticks. I have the color "Me, My Macaron and I" which is a nice sheer pink color. It has a sweet scent and feels hydrating. I like the fact that it contains Hyaluronic Acid because that plumps up fine lines on my lips. It is not a long lasting but instead a very hydrating lipstick. It comes in 12 colors. Only $5.99!

One of my new favorite products is the Catrice Prime & Fine. This is a fabulous face primer that fills in fine lines and feels smooth and silky. I find it helps my foundation to stay put. I recommend this highly for oily to combination skin! Only $6.99!

Oh and the Liquid Metal Eyeshadows! So pretty! They strongly remind me on the Nars Dual Intensity Eyeshadows- BUT these here cost only $4.99!!! Amazing! Yes, they break easily- but for that price you can easily fix them with some alcohol (just press it into the pan again!). They are silky and creamy and super pigmented. Applied wet (with the Elf setting spray) you get maximum results!

The Absolute Eye palettes are a miss. Don´t like them. Not pigmented, chalky- and they all look kind of like the same. Only $6.99 but I think you can skip these...

Oh the Re-Touch Light Reflecting Concealer is amazing! Reminds me strongly on the YSL Touche Eclat! But only for $5.99! It comes in 3 colors and they are super smooth and dry to a matte finish. Love it to brighten under my eyes but also to conceal other parts of my face- or even to highlight!

The Illuminating and the Bronzing Highlighter pens are another new favorite of mine. I just love the convenience of having the brush tip. The Illuminating Highlighter pen is more on the pink side while the Bronzing- you guessed it- is more on the bronze side. Love them both and each only $5.99! Wowsers!

Lust but certainly not least is the Pure Shine Colour Lip Balm. This is not a crayon but just a lip balm with some tint to it and I love them. They have a Vanilla scent and the packaging is so elegant. They feel very moisturizing and are extremely shiny. I have the color "Don´t think just pink" and carry it around in my purse! Only $2.99!
