|Cruelty Free Powder, Bronzers and Palettes|
I remember many, many years ago - back when I still was living in Germany- I tried to switch to cruelty free cosmetic. Back then we did not even had Internet and I just got a printed list of a handful of retailers who would sell cruelty free cosmetic- AND they were all really expensive. I found it was impossible to do! So, I did not switch.

By accident and by reading Beauty Blogs I came recently across the blog: Phyrra- Beauty for the bold and Girl, am I excited to announce: IT IS EASIER THEN EVER TO DO THE SWITCH! I was so positively surprised by the amount of companies who don´t do animal testing! And they exist in all price ranges!

Check all my photos in this post- those were all cruelty free items I had already in my house without even knowing! This gave me such a hype! So today I am gonna announce that I will do the switch now and I am hoping that I get maybe one or two of you girls pulled in into this too- once I show you how easy it is!

Now there is a couple of things that I will have problems finding the right cruelty free item- like I tend to get dandruff and the only product that seems to work for me is Head &Shoulders (not cruelty free!). Also I have not found a cruelty free deodorant or toothpaste that would work for me. Cruelty free laundry detergent is also freaking expensive. So I admit already that I probably can not switch 100%.
Also: I will not throw anything away as this certainly won´t help anyone! I will use up everything I have! But: whenever I buy a new product, I will do a full conscious decision. I will still have products in my empties posts and a couple other reviews that I already have planned: but I will try my hardest to buy from now on cruelty free items whenever possible! I find especially for Make up this will not be a problem for me.

Unfortunately the phrase "Not tested on animals" and "self made" bunny logos on products do often times only mean that the end product was not tested on animals- but the ingredients still were (I noticed those for example on the sunscreen Hawaiian, on the Shampoo Tresemme and Alberto- but all these companies ARE testing on animals!)
There is only 2 logos (in the US) you can really trust. But keep in mind: a product CAN still be cruelty free without this logo!
The Leaping Bunny
For my research I used Phyrra, PETA, The Leaping Bunny. Also: sometimes a company is cruelty free but owned by a company that is not. I chose to still buy from those companies, but feel free to do whatever you think is the right thing to do. (Links on brand names bring you to the companies website).

Now, we are all adults and have to do our own decisions. But maybe the next time you want to buy that Loreal Nail polish- maybe you consider buying a Wet´n Wild Nail polish instead?
Or the next time you need that bronzer from Maybelline- maybe you can instead get one from Physicians Formula?
I am asking you to do a conscious decision because we as the consumer have really the power (Europe proofed this because animal testing for cosmetics got banned in 2013). And there is more that you can do!
