The Garden Room Atlanta: a magical place perfect for a GNO!

What a fun GNO at The Garden Room in Atlanta, the cutest place to celebrate and unwind, surrounded by lush florals and rubber-duckie-cocktails! Apparently it is not easy to make a reservation for a table, so book in advance at Open Table!

However, don’t come hungry, the portions are TINY! This place is probably more catered to women that like a romantic, whimsical atmosphere and do not eat much lol. Hungry men might head to Longhorn afterwards. And it is quite pricey too, so don't forget your credit card! A bottle Pellegrino is $18!  😏

BLACK TRUFFLE PILLOWS (Wild Mushroom Pasta, Parmesan, Butter, Black Pepper) $16

Not sure I like the look of that foam on here?

Verdict of my friend who ordered this: it lacked flavor. Portion was ok. Confused why they topped it with Parmesan foam and not actual cheese. 

CHARRED OCTOPUS (Peppers, Almonds, Cauliflower) $18

CHILEAN SEABASS (Honey & Orange, Puffed Rice, Broccoli) $39

We were all laughing about the "puffed rice"- see the little black crumbs? That is all! The rice! Hahahaha- however this was probably the most decent sized portion of all our dishes.

CRISPY LAVASH  (Baba Ghanoushe, Salmon Rilette, Whipped Goat Cheese & Black Truffle) $19

This plate is nice! If you just want to enjoy the atmosphere of this restaurant- how about just sharing this one? 

The Salmon Rilette was amazing. 

                 

GARDEN GEMS (Radish, Porcini Aioli, Parmesan, Sourdough Croutons) $16

Hahahaha, I ordered this one and I saw maybe 1 piece of radish and I did not see any croutons. The little Porcini mushrooms looked cute and the vinaigrette was delicious.

 I was still hungry afterwards. 😅

GNOCCHI (Basil Pesto, Zucchini, Lemon Ricotta) $18

Tiny portion! 👶

I LOVE  LYCHEE (Belvedere, Giffard Litchi-Li Liqueur, Lychee, Lemon, Egg White) $19

So pretty! 😍 My friend loved the cocktail!

PINK PONY (Absolut Elyx, Domaine Canton, Lime, Edible Glitter, Sharp Ginger Foam) $19

Both of my friends loved this cocktail, one claiming it was "the best she ever had".

SEND NOODS  (Grey Goose Vodka, Chambord, Lemon, Butterfly Pea Flower, Fizzy Color-Changing Glitter Bomb) $20

I ordered this cocktail. It was really super sweet- like a juice- and I personally do not think worth $20 lol. I would probably just order a glass of wine or the PINK PONY (more bang for the buck!) next time! My friend who also ordered this cocktail was not too fond of it either. She also agrees: overpriced and too sweet! 

BOAS AND COAS (Del Maguey Vida Mezcal, Cointreau, Ancho Reyes Verde, Jalapeño, Lime, Served Over Pineapple Ice Cubes) $17

We all loved the look of the I love Lychee Cocktail- so elegant with the flower! I would probably next time order the Pink Pony because it seems like you get more to drink than in the Send Noods Cocktail lol. The rubber-duckies are an unique idea and cute, but honestly: for $20 I would prefer some fruit decorations over a plastic duck. With these prices you can not really get drunk though. 😆

My final verdict: this is such a cute restaurant/bar to hang out and perfect for a GNO or maybe a date, if you are not very hungry. I would definitely go again!
