I tried 8 face masks- which ones do really work?

Recently I am doing a lot of face masks! Every third night or so, I pull out a face mask to try out. I wash my face, put a mask on, turn my humidifier on, and then I make myself comfortable in my bed, watch tv and have my favorite tea (Roiboos Vanilla yum!). Self care in these awkward times- makes me feel better, you know? And today I want to tell you, which face masks I really enjoyed and which ones maybe not!

1. found active 1-Minute Flash Cooling Sheet Mask (Amazon)

Formulated with soothing Avocado, Aloe and Cucumber, this sheet mask helps calm and soothe redness while locking in essential moisture.

My experience: These are freaking too wet lol! 🌊No, really! The water was dripping onto my chest and I needed a towel to dry myself off. They are cooling and refreshing. I always left them on longer than 1 minute- maybe 5 or 10. They are nice, but nothing special!

2. Andalou Naturals Instant Brighten & Tighten Hydro Serum Facial Mask (Amazon // Ulta)

Formulated with: tamarind extract, Sea buckthorn oil, Vitamin C these masks dramatically improve an uneven tone, and dark spots caused by sun damage and over-stimulation of melanin.

My experience: this sheet mask had a light pleasant fruity smell. After 3-4 minutes my face started to tingle and I was not really sure if this was supposed to happen. At 5 minutes I even almost considered taking the mask off, because the tingling was at its peek but it started to calm down shortly after. However, my face felt really refreshed and hydrated after. 

3. Pacifica Pollution Fight Blue Algae Urban Defense Facial Mask (Amazon)

Infused with skin-loving beneficials: blue algae, kelp, banana, chlorella, vitamin C and chia seed extract.Fight the good fight against invisible toxins, such as pollution and smoke, and the damage done from urban lifestyles. 

My experience: smells yummy like banana! Really enjoyed this mask and my skin felt well balanced and hydrated after! Can't really say much about the pollution claims, since that is nothing I can see or feel! 

4. Pacifica Flower Power Rose Stem Cell Targeted Face Mask (Target)

Skincare that incorporates synergistic beneficials. Use these spot treatments on areas that need extra love including frowny face and smile lines. Formulated with green tea, rose stem cells and rose hip extract. 

My experience: These look really cute as these patches are shaped like flowers. I felt a slight tingling (I put 1 patch under each eye) but I don't think I saw that they did anything? My under-eyes looked the same after!

I tried the green and the grey clay mask.

These were both fantastic! They smell really nice, fresh and clean, go on so super smooth with a whipped-like consistency and they feel deep-cleansing. Really fantastic!
