🔫Hey ladies! I’m super excited to try out the FDA approved @nira_skin Laser* that is clinically proven to reduce wrinkles around the eyes! Using the same advanced laser technology as dermatologists, the NIRA Skincare Laser naturally renews skin by stimulating natural collagen production to plump skin and smooth wrinkles - revealing firmer, youthful looking skin. Does it hurt? Yes, it CAN hurt, if you use a too high power level! BUT: IT SHOULD NOT HURT- so definitely switch your power level to a lower setting if you experience extreme discomfort! And how does it feel? It is like a shot of heat. Though not common, the Skincare Laser may cause some temporary redness immediately after use but that should fade within a few minutes. Super excited about this tool and I will keep you updated on my progress (approximately ‪in 60 days‬!) I made before up-close pics of my crows feet for you all to see!!! The technology behind the Nira Skincare Laser:

Using the same advanced laser technology as dermatologists, the NIRA Skincare Laser naturally renews skin by stimulating natural collagen production to plump skin and smooth wrinkles - revealing firmer, youthful looking skin.

The NIRA Skincare Laser reverses the impact of aging by transmitting a non-fractional laser fluence to gently heat the dermis above the point of heat-shock protein (HSP) formation and just below the pain threshold. This stimulates natural collagen production to plump skin and smooth wrinkles without any damage - revealing firmer, youthful looking skin.

Most dermatologists use fractional lasers at wavelengths up to 1550 nm. NIRA uses the same semiconductor laser diodes tuned at 1450 nm which allows peak absorption in the dermis layers. NIRA uses a lower power per unit area and a non-fractional approach to avoid pain and erythema (redness) and spreads the energy over daily treatments over the course of a month, whereas the dermatologist typically treats with all the energy in one visit per month. Over time, the NIRA device puts in more energy than most professional treatments do in a single visit and NIRA generates equal or more skin rejuvenation.

For optimal results, it is recommended to use the NIRA Skincare Laser twice a day; in the morning and evening after cleansing and drying your face. However, if you can only use it every other day, then doubling your number of pulses will help you get the treatment needed to help promote collagen growth and give you younger-looking skin. Nira recommends 40 pulses for each eye area daily.

Check out this impressive before/after!!!

My first impressions:

I started using this device a week ago and I made a "before" picture to keep you in a couple of weeks updated on my progress! The laser has 5 different power levels and I am currently using only the second power level as I find the third level already too painful. However, I have used the Tria Laser in the past (read my review here) and it is nowhere near as painful as that one was- the Tria was almost unbearable for me- like a snapping rubber band!!!

I found this image (below) very helpful to see how I should use the device. It will be around 30-40 treatment spots under each eye (going upward to the crows feet).

Here's a quick tutorial on how to use the Nira laser!

Can you use the Nira Skincare Laser on other areas of your face?

The NIRA Skincare Laser has been FDA Cleared only for wrinkles around the eyes. Many consumers have seen improvements with acne, puffiness, wrinkles around the mouth/forehead and other blemishes on the face when consistently using the NIRA Skincare Laser, but Nira can not guarantee results for these areas of the face.

My verdict:

Super excited about this tool and I will keep you updated on my progress (approximately in 60 days!)

You might also wonder: what about the NuFACE (Sephora //or get 10% off with code Sissi at Skinstore )- have I stopped using this? No, I will keep using both devices! The NuFACE I am using all over my face and neck, but the Nira Skincare Laser I use exclusively on my crows feet! ;-)
