SMOKEY EYES FOR BLUE HOODED EYES! #MakeupTutorial

I love a classic smokey eye, but used to think that my eyes are too hooded and small to pull this look off- but that is totally not true! You just have to know how to do it! It is important to not get the dark eyeshadow up until your brows (because that totally closes your eyes and makes them appear super small)- keep the darkest color on your lid and use a neutral crease color in- and on top of the crease (such as a light to medium brown, taupe or a terracotta color).

The photo below shows you more in detail, how I do my smokey eye look: keeping the dark eyeshadow right on my lid, using a medium brown color in my crease and a bit above (since hooded eyes hide the crease, you have to go a little higher with the crease color), then using a lighter shade under my brown bone. I also like to smudge the darker color on my lower lash-line.

I used a black sparkly eyeshadow from a Sonia Kashuk palette (or get this one for $8) as well as the Too Faced Chocolate Bar (on my crease is Milk Chocolate). Since the smokey eyelook is pretty intense, I like to keep my lips neutral (I used Ecco Bella lip gloss in Peace).

Now you know, how I do a smokey eye on my blue hooded eyes! ;-)
