CLARINS Mission Perfection: I used it for 4 weeks and THIS HAPPENED (with BEFORE/AFTER PHOTOS)

I used the Clarins Mission Perfection Eye Broad Spectrum SPF 15 for 4 weeks, because it promises:

"to target stubborn brown and blue circles. Powerful acerola extract visibly minimizes brown dark circles for brighter, younger-looking eyes. Escin from Horse Chestnut fights the appearance of blue dark circles caused by lack of sleep and fatigue, so eyes look rested and radiant. Clarins’ High-Lumitech complex instantly illuminates eye contours and 100 percent mineral sun filters provide SPF 15 protection. "

YES PLEASE!!! But did it work?

What´s inside?

The supposed magic is the Acerola Extract (a vitamin C derivative) and Escin (from horse chestnut). Also not bad: it contains an SPF of 15 to prevent further aging from the sun!

This product is also tinted, so you will get an immediate gratification, as it will illuminate your dark circles instantly. There is however only 1 color available, which will suit probably all the medium skin-tones. It has an orange under-tone to it, which is perfect to color correct blue or purple tones. However: this is not a full coverage concealer, so I find myself reaching for an additional concealer to really cover up my under-eyes.

My experience:

From the beginning I was very skeptical, I have to admit. And $50 for a 0.5 oz tube: it better be good!

I really like the instant gratification that you get, because it already is tinted and the little brush applicator is very easy to use, however in the long run maybe it would be more hygienic, if this would not include a brush and you would just squeeze out the product and dab under your eyes.

I see myself as the perfect candidate for this product, because I have these purple to blue under-eyes. So, I made a good (I mean rather ugly lol) photo of my purple under-eyes 4 weeks ago and today I made a photo to compare it to. Did something change?

See for yourself!

Honestly: when I looked this morning in the mirror, I thought to myself, that I still have purple under-eyes and that nothing much has happened!!

Maybe I am too harsh on myself, but I wanted initially write, that I don´t see a major improvement.

But somehow the photos proof me wrong! I actually see a really nice improvement! The purple under-tones look definitely better! I am surprised myself! LOL!

It is not really easy to have the exact same lighting, that I had 4 weeks ago on my before picture and I feel the lighting is a little different- however: I find it still undeniable that my purple tones look so much better!

So, what is my verdict? You know, you probably have to be patient, I am hoping results will get even better, the more I keep using it. You won´t get instant results (well you do get instant illuminating results), but I am pleased, that actually really something happened here within the 4 weeks! Also: the tube is still super full, so I am guessing the 0.5 oz actually goes a long way! It´s only for the tiny under-eye area- so I am able to keep using this tube for a couple more month.
