ULTA Luxe Lipstick Review

As promised I have today my Ulta lipsticks review up for you!

Here are the colors I have: Pink Pout 238 (with shimmer), Coming Up Roses 239 (matte), Pink Chocolate 240 (matte) and Sweet Apricot 204 (with shimmer).

All 4 lipsticks are not overly pigmented and I have to apply quite a bit- if you like really bright colors these might not be the right thing. For me though these are perfect- they give me some color but not too crazy. The matte colors Pink Chocolate and Coming up Roses apply very creamy and I love the texture.  Pink Pout and Sweet Apricot have shimmer and do not apply as creamy as the matte lipsticks.

My favorites -as mentioned in my July Favorites- are Sweet Apricot and Pink Chocolate- but not because of the texture- simply because I just like the colors very much. Those colors suit me well and Sweet Apricot gives me a chance to try out this years "orange lips" hype without going overboard.

I also do not find that the colors hold very long- a maximum of 2-3 hours I would say.

I do really love the sleek, sturdy and elegant packaging . But overall I am not hyping about the quality and color payoff.

I do think that the Nyx Round lipsticks are quality wise better then these- Nyx lipsticks are much more pigmented and even creamier and the color holds longer (and they are cheaper too!).

I give these lipsticks a "OK" ;-)
