Yes to Grapefruit CC cream review

Today I like to review the Yes to Grapefruit CC cream. Yes To is cruelty free. ;-)

First of all it comes in only 2 shades- light and light-medium. I chose light-medium but I was surprised how good the color actually matched my skin tone! The light-medium is in my opinion pretty much a medium! The color is also very nice and neutral and does not go in the yellow range which I can not stand.

Also: it smells really yummy fresh like Grapefruit. Another positive thing is the SPF of 18. Although I prefer a SPF of 30 or higher.

Unfortunately the coverage of this product is only minimal- I would say a very light coverage. This is the one thing that bothered me a bit. I really would have preferred to have more coverage. I find that this product is a bit buildable and you can achive with layering a light- medium coverage.

Another positive thing is that this product does not make me look shiny throughout the day- even though I have oily skin- especially on my forehead.

For young skin this might be a perfect CC cream- for more mature skin (let´s say skin above 35) this probably is just not enough coverage but still a great product for those days where you do not want to wear a lot of make up. It retails for around $15 which I find a bit high.

Overall I find it is a decent product but I am not jumping in excitement up and down! :-)

Pro: cruelty free, nice scent, SPF 18, stays matte, Petroleum, SLS, & Paraben Free

Cons: only light coverage, feels a bit tacky, only 2 shades available
