Palmetto Derma Retinol & Peptide Infused Lifting Eye Cream Review

Today I am sharing with you my experience with the Palmetto Derma Retinol & Peptide Infused Lifting Eye Cream. Palmetto Derma is of course cruelty free which makes me already one happy gal! ;-)


Let´s start with the product claims: 

"This innovative formulation combines the advanced peptides of Matrixyl 3000 & Tripeptide-5, in addition to ocean based Retinol & fruit based Glycolic Acid to firm, repair & soothe fragile skin around the eye.  This, combined with many botanical, pure plant oils, organic vitamins & minerals leaving your eye area soft & hydrated.  Reduce fine lines & wrinkles with every use."

Palmetto Derma is a relatively new company (founded December 2013) and they donate 1% of each sale to Breast Cancer Awareness. All of their products are Paraben & Sulfate Free.

Now to my experience:

The Palmetto Derma Retinol & Peptide Infused Lifting Eye Cream (Girl is that a tongue twister or what?) has a really fun consistency- you think it is liquid like a lotion but then you realize it somehow is not- more like a white thick- yet light weight- gel. It smells really interesting- probably coming from the Rose Hip Oil. It is hard to describe but I do not find it unpleasant. Rose Hip Oil is BTW amazing for the skin because it is full of Essential Fatty Acids.

What is also inside: Matrixyl 3000 & Tripeptide-5, Retinol, Glycolic Acid, Vitamin C, CoQ10. This is a powerful mixture of peptides and antioxidants to fight those unsightly wrinkles!

Matrixyl 3000 is a pretty new skin care ingredient which is a combination of two peptides. It helps to reduce wrinkles and improves the skin tone. And we all know by now that Retinol is one of the best anti aging ingredients, right? Glycolic acid exfoliates the surface layer, making skin look smoother by promoting healthy cell growth to replace the dead skin cells. Vitamin C can reverse the aging of skin and improve the skin tone.  CoQ10 (Co Enzyme Q10) stops free radicals from damaging cells, as this causes skin ageing.

Of course I can not say how this cream is going to be when used in long term but I can say that this cream has the ability to firm my eye area already after application! I can only expect even better results in the long run.

Palmetto Derma is a powerful Anti Aging Skin Care line

I am guessing that the interesting structure of the cream (like I said before it is almost like a thick gel) gives me instant results. I am pleasantly surprised by it. I do love that it almost instantly sinks into my skin. I do have oily skin but not around my eyes. But I also used this cream on my (oily) forehead to smooth out my 2 wrinkles I have there and I find also that it gives me an instant smoothing effect on my forehead. It does not add any greasiness to my already oily forehead and feels pleasant. I do love to use this cream at night and I am sold!

The only down site about the product: I always prefer tube packaging for hygienically reasons.
