FOREO Day & Night Cleanser Review

Foreo just released 2 brand new cleansers that are designed to perfectly complement and work with the Foreo Luna devices (which I highly recommend for ladies with sensitive skin, read my Foreo Luna review here).

I really love the idea of using a different cleanser in the morning and in the night! For the morning Foreo created the Awakening Radiance Yogurt Day Cleanser and for the night the Celestial Melting Gel Night Cleanser. Both cleansers perform completely different. Let´s get into the details.

Awakening Radiance Yogurt Day Cleanser

What it is:
A creamy cleanser featuring bergamot, mandarin, and apricot fruit extracts.

What it is formulated to do: Awakening Radiance Yogurt refreshes as it cleanses. It transforms from a creamy yogurt into a lush foam that instantly wakes up and revitalizes the skin. The formulation is tailored to the skin's specific daytime needs. It features mandarin, bergamot, and apricot fruit extracts to purify and hydrate, while probiotics and vitamin C nourish and protect. The result is skin that looks and feels soft, healthy, and radiant.

What it is formulated WITHOUT: - Parabens - Phthalates

What else you need to know: This product does not contain sodium lauryl or sodium laureth sulfates. It is also free from silicone, alcohol, mineral oil, propylene glycol, and phenoxyethanol, and is formulated with 96 percent ingredients of natural origin.

My experience:
Oh my!  The Awakening Radiance Yogurt cleanser! The scent! I love it! A mixture of bergamot-, mandarin-, and apricot extract!  It smells super divine- fruity but not to sweet- I would say almost more exotic, rich and luxurious! So, so good! Well, a good smelling product always get´s me!

The feeling is different then your usual cleanser: it is a peachy colored lotion that feels very silky, even though it does not foam, it is super easy to apply on your face and using it with the Foreo Luna device makes you feel like in a spa. This stuff is great and I love it very much!

5 Schmusies of course!

Celestial Melting Gel Night Cleanser

What it is:
A detoxifying cleanser featuring meteorite powder, moringa extract, and almond oil.

What it is formulated to do: Foreo's Celestial Melting Gel deeply cleanses and detoxifies the skin. It transforms from a silky gel to a velvety milk that cocoons the skin and brings comfort before going to bed. The formula is tailored to the skin's specific nighttime needs. It features meteorite powder, moringa extract, and almond oil that cleanse deeply, exfoliate, and diminish the effect of pollution to reveal smooth, luminous skin.

What it is formulated WITHOUT: - Parabens - Sulfates - Phthalates

What else you need to know: This product is also free of silicone, alcohol, mineral oil, propylene glycol, and phenoxyethanol. It features 95 percent ingredients of natural origin.

My experience:
The Celestial Melting Gel cleanser looks like a blue-grey gel and has little grains in it ("Meteorite powder") to gently scrub your face. It does not foam up but still get´s rid of any oils. You can´t use it to remove eye makeup though (because of the meteorite powder: you don´t want those to get into your eyes). The grains are so small that you barely feel them, so there is no problem using this even for sensitive skin. The Foreo Luna device works great with it. Don´t expect this to be a strong scrub- just a very subtle and gentle scrub. It smells clean and nice.

4 Schmusies from me!

Little update: Funnily I switched the 2 products and use the Night Cleanser now in the morning and the Day Cleanser in the night- because I really love to wash my makeup off in the night- even eye makeup and the Day Cleanser does an amazing job with it. And I really love to use a gentle scrub in the morning- so these products are included in my skin care routine now every day- just in the opposite way as they were designed too!  ;-)
