NUDESTIX MAGNETIC EYE COLOR REVIEW

I was so excited to try the NUDESTIX MAGNETIC EYE COLORS! I bought an eye kit with six, long-wearing, waterproof, and smudge-proof, magnetic matte and radiant eye colors in neutral shades. Each smooth, easy-to-blend Magnetic Eye Color is a three-in-one shadow, liner, and primer that is long-wearing, waterproof, and transfer-proof for all-day wear—even on oily lids. I put this to the test with surprising results!

But let´s see first some gorgeous pictures of the six colors and the swatches!

These eye crayons come in a convenient metal tin- great for traveling and include also a sharpener (unfortunately not Made in Germany- read here why you need a sharpener Made in Germany). They apply so super creamy and buttery and are very pigmented. And after a couple seconds, they dry and are absolutely smudge (I rubbed over it and they would not move) and also waterproof (I am holding my swatches under running water and I am also rubbing them- they stay put- see video above!).

And look at the gorgeous colors! Angel? A metallic rose gold! Oh so pretty. And Lilith is a golden champagne. And Twilight is an iridescent olive silver tone. So pretty truly! The 3 browns are great transition colors.

Angel on my lid, Taupe in my crease, Army in my outer V and under my lower lash line, Lilith under my brow bone.

Since Nudestix claims that these work without a primer and are great for oily lids, I tried it on my first day just like that: without an eye primer. However, after only 2.5 hours the beautiful "Angel" color on my lids ended up looking a mess. Creasing is an understatement. By the end of the day Courtney Love would have been jealous...;-) (not sure if you get that).

So the next day I tried applying them with an eye primer (I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance)- I know that I have super oily eyelids and the colors are so pretty that I am OK to use an eye primer. I also tried to stay "out of my hood" with the color, so that my hood (what do I mean with that- read here) is not the reason why it won´t stay. Unfortunately similar results: creasing, creasing, creasing.

My verdict:

Since I know that the swatches were holding up all day- even if rubbing tough on them and holding under running water, I know that they might be working, if you have super smooth, AND YOUNG SKIN LOL (I obviously don´t have any wrinkles on my arm and it worked flawless on there).

However, if you have somewhat fine lines, wrinkles, Nudestix will accentuate those. My eyes also feel heavy after a while and it is not comfortable. They feel sticky to me and that might be the problem if you have hooded eyes for the creasing I experienced. It sticks to the "hood" and the color transfers into it.

But: these work great to use as highlighter (angel and twilight are fab for that!) under my brow bone or on my tear duct. The darker colors are great to line the eyes, even tight lining works great as they feel super buttery and don´t transfer to my lower water line. Sadly I can personally not use them as an all over eyeshadow, but I will keep using them as eyeliners and highlighters instead!

It is also a great deal because Nudestix retail each for $24.99 and this set is a value of $149.94 but it retails for only $59!

Have you tried Nudestix?
