Re-fresh Cleanser, Lactic Acid Peel and Hyaluronic Moisturizer Review

Let me introduce you to some very new skin care products from Re-fresh: the Re-fresh Reveal Pre-Peel Rose Glow Cleanser, the (re) fresh  Lactic Acid 10% Peel and the (re) fresh Hyaluronic Moisturizing Cream.

All products from (re) fresh are cruelty-free.

Let´s start with the claims of the (re) fresh Reveal Pre-Peel Rose Glow Cleanser:

"Our gentle but powerful cleanser removes impurities and restores skin's natural pH balance to prepare skin for professional exfoliation. Rose Hip Seed Oil is rich in essential fatty acids and Vitamins A, C, E, & F which protect skin from free radical damage, boost collagen growth, and restore skin's natural healthy glow. Alcohol free Paraben free Phthalate free No added artificial colors, fragrance, or preservative."

You know I am a sucker for fresh scents and this cleanser smells wonderful refreshing for sure- almost like a fresh and clean body wash. It is "pinkish-clear". It cleans nicely and even though the package said that I should avoid the eye area- I tried it anyway and to my surprise it did not sting in my eyes.

I just love if I can use a cleanser on my eye make up and it is strong enough to get rid of it yet gentle enough to not feel like I stripped the natural balance of my skin.

Off to the claims of the (re) fresh Lactic Acid 10 % Peel:

"Our gentlest exfoliator removes dead and damaged skin cells without irritation. Lactic acid also increases skin cell turnover and improves skin's ability to retain moisture.

• Fragrance-free and non-comodegenic

• Skin is left smoother and healthier
• Reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and other signs of aging
• Brightens skin tone
• Smoothes and softens skin
• Alcohol free Paraben free Phthalate free

I was really, really excited to try this product! I have never done a chemical peel in my life and did not quite know what to expect- yes- I was even a bit scared!  The package said: "Leave on for 1 to 3 minutes, depending on tolerance". This little word "tolerance" freaked me a bit out, I have to admit!

I used the dropper to place some product on my hands, quickly rubbed it between my palms and applied it evenly on my face and also on my neck. As soon as I had the product, which feels actually just like water and has no smell whatsoever- on my skin I started to count the seconds as I was afraid I could overdo it. But even at the 3 minute mark I did not had a tingling feeling- I felt nothing!

Very relieved I washed the peel of with cold water. I noticed a tiny bit of redness on some areas on my face but everything seemed alright. The redness was gone after about one hour.

Because I tolerated this peel perfectly (I do not have sensitive skin at all) and had no side effects I did the same procedure for the next 2 days again, always with the same results: I did not feel anything at all- but I noticed that I got already some light peeling on some areas where I had a bit of discolorations! It seemed to work!

Now on the 4th day I decided to double up the product and used twice as much on my face. And: TA-DA! There it was! That was the feeling I was expecting! It tingled, stung a bit- and itched kind off! It is funny but I almost liked it because I wanted to feel something! It was not feeling nice but it was feeling "right" if you understand what I mean? After I washed it off my face was a tiny bit more red on some areas (especially on my forehead).

The next day I noticed some more peeling- but not like after a sunburn- very mildly and almost not even visible!

I have to say: I have tried so many anti aging products (from Retinol, to Matrixyl 3000, Peptides, Vitamin C Serums or other Antioxidants, BHA exfoliater and and and!!!) and devices from a Laser to a  Dermaroller- but THIS PEEL you girls: immediate results! I think this tops off everything I have tried so far! I am having the smoothest skin and I am noticing that the fine lines on my forehead get better after each treatment!

The older we get the more we have to help our skin to renew it skin cells- this is the main reason we start to look older: our skin cells are unable to renew themselves as they did when we were younger.

The good thing about this peel is, you get to decide how often and how much product you want to use. I recommend starting slow and with not much product- once you get the grip you can use more product and leave it on for longer. You have to listen to your skin and check on it. At the moment I will keep using this every night but I plan on using this at least once a week.

Be extra careful if you have sensitive skin- this might not be the right thing for you to do.

Here are the claims of the (re) fresh Hyaluronic Moisturizing Cream:

"A well balanced moisturizer, Hyaluronic Acid Cream combines highly effective biogenic ingredients to soothe, nurture, and restore the skin's moisture content. Hyaluronic Acid creates an ideal environment for the generation of new skin cells, and plays an important role in tissue hydration, lubrication and cellular function. Squalane is produced naturally by skin, but levels decrease after age 20. Derived from Olives, Squalane is ultra-hydrating and over time fades pigmentation and scars and reverses UV damage while fighting free radicals. Smoothes skin • reduces wrinkles • Stimulates new cell growth Alcohol free Paraben free Phthalate free No added artificial colors, fragrance, or preservatives * Reduces dark circles and puffiness under eyes "

I could not stop but think of a creamy vanilla pudding when I saw the wonderfully smooth consistency of this cream. Hyaluronic Acid is a wonderful ingredient as it soaks in all water it can get and with that plumps up your skin.

Now you might think that you should not use a moisturizer after a peel but this is actually not true. The peel will happen within the skin and you can not stop it with a moisturizer but you help the skin instead to appear smooth.

This is a very light weight cream and I used only a tiny amount- my skin soaked it right away in after the peel. It felt smoothing and refreshing. I did not notice a strong scent- a hint of a "medical" scent I would say- but not overwhelming, barely there scent.

All in all this is a wonderful skin care regime but what I really recommend (to get rid of fine lines or discolorations) is trying out the Lactic Acid Peel! What a game changer!
