Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer | Contour book | Expert Lip Color | Pure Powder Glow Review

Today I have reviews for a couple of Kevyn Aucoin Makeup items: the Sensual Skin Enhancer (the foundation), The Contour Book, the Expert Lip Color and the Pure Powder Glow blush.

Yes, Kevyn Aucoin is a cruelty free brand! (Find more cruelty free brands here).

Let´s start with the Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer (Skinstore // Nordstrom) : oh girl, if you really want extreme high coverage and look perfect and cover up everything, you need this. At my first try I used to much (about a pea size)- you really only need the tiniest amount of this to cover your face up. I have a little demonstration of the product in this video.

I do have combination skin with an oily T-zone and without my Hourglass Mineral veil I was after 2 hours an oily mess- but with the primer it works beautiful. I can recommend this foundation especially for normal to dry skin if you like full coverage. I saw many reviews were people complain about the strong scent- however: I find it smells fresh and clean and I do really like it!

You might think that this jar looks tiny- however if you realize, how tiny amount of product you need, you understand why it is so small. I think I can never ever go through this jar in my life!

This is all you need for your full face!

Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer applied on half of my face- you can clearly see which one!

The Kevyn Aucoin Contour book is right now on sale for $40 and if you think about that it includes 2 highlighters ("celestial powders") and the sculpting powder that retail in the full size for $44 each - the value is already there!

The highlighters are oh so pretty and I love that warm brown burgundy shade so much in my crease! The sculpting powder blends so effortless and makes contouring easy as a snap. Even though I thought at first that this contour book looks a little boring, I could not be more wrong as I find my face just looks flawless with this.

The only downside: the pans are tiny and it is a hassle to find the right brush to work with this.

The Kevyn Aucoin Expert Lip Color in Samilke is a gorgeous dusty rose color- it smells nice. I think it´s Vanilla. Something sweet anyway but not overpowering. The lipstick feels very hydrating and is pretty but not exactly a long wearing lipstick. I find the color looks great on me and I wore it now since a couple days everyday cause I love it so much. It´s somehow a color that does not feel "too much" yet you still feel like "put together"- if you know what I mean?

The Kevyn Aucoin Pure Powder Glow in Myracle is a super pigmented pink blush that looks very flattering on my skin and gives me instantly a refreshed look. It smells fizzy - like a bath bomb in my opinion. For the price tag though, I am not sure you have to get this one.

And here is a makeup look I created using all of the above products. I even contoured my nose which I usually don´t do. Not sure, how that turned out? But you can clearly see the beautiful white eyeshadow in my tear area- it brightens up the eyes so much and feels so light weight! Love it. I went maybe a bit overboard with the blush. ;-)
