I remember when I went to high school (many, many, many years ago lol- back in Germany) I quickly discovered I needed Levis jeans because otherwise I am not cool! Hence: I got bullied for not wearing the right jeans. So I gave in -for the sake of being not bullied -and got me some Levis 501 and I tell you: those were ridiculous expensive back then! All imported from the U.S. and we would spend a fortune on them! Just to be cool. Literally everybody wore them! How boring, if I think about it.
If you could not afford the full price, people would buy a Levis jeans from stores that would sell Levis "with little mistakes"- hopefully not one leg longer then the other lmao.
First it was just the regular blue jeans but a little later it was about crazy colors like red, white, yellow or even pink. The more colorful, the better.
I still wear Levis but I like other jeans brands as well (DKNY and Calvin Klein are my faves).
And yes: I think you can were denim on denim- what do you think?
