Malin + Goetz Clarifying Clay Mask review

Today I have a review of the brand new Malin + Goetz Clarifying Clay Mask for you! Yes, Malin + Goetz is of course a cruelty free brand (find more brands that don´t participate in animal testing here).

Here are the claims:

"This is a deep cleansing and exfoliating treatment perfect for oily or acne-prone skin. Our Clarifying Clay Mask offers an effective, non-irritating therapy for sensitive skin. Formulated with refined kaolin clay to help absorb excess oil and draw out impurities, powder-like pumice to gently polish away dead skin, and witch hazel and arnica extract, known to be both anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial, this pore-minimizing 10 minute mask purifies and balances to improve clarity and texture for healthy-looking, radiant skin.

My experience:

I am the perfect skin type for this mask as I have a super oily T-zone and I sometimes get some breakouts there as well. This mask has a gritty feel as it contains little chunks of pumice. Not only does the mask help getting rid of impurities but it goes even further: after 10 minutes you simply make the mask  a little wet again and then you scrub all those dead skin layers and impurities away! This is a clarifying mask and an exfoliator in one product!

Because the pumice inside is rather rough I would not recommend using this on active acne and although the product claims to be for sensitive skin I could imagine that this is slightly to rough for very sensitive skin. You can use this mask twice a week.

My verdict:

I recommend this face mask for those with normal to combination and/or oily skin.

Honestly: my face felt like a fresh born after this "at home spa treatment". This mask makes my face feel refreshed, deeply cleansed and rejuvenated! Can´t wait for my next treatment!
