Studio Gear CC cream Review
Recently I have tried the Studio Gear CC cream (it promises to: color, cover, correct). Studio Gear Cosmetics is a prestigious cosmetics brand and has been on set at hundreds of professional photo shoots. This is a line created true to the concept that every woman deserves professional, high quality cosmetics at a reasonable price.
The first thing I noticed was a pleasant clean and fresh scent. The next thing while opening it up was the color of this product! I was wondering on how this should work because it looked white-greyish!
But then I realized that this is one of those self adjusting creams and it will change into your own skin color while applying- like magic! ;-)
This CC cream is available in 3 shades (linen, natural and wheat) and I have tried the natural. I find that this moisturizes my skin nicely without being greasy or oily. What I also like is that it offers you a great SPF 20 (with Octinoxate 7.50% Titanium Dioxide 5.00% Zinc Oxide 1.00% ).
It is no secret anymore that we all should wear SPF on a daily basis to fight the aging! The CC cream offers a light coverage and I need a little bit more of a concealer to hide my chin which tends to redness.
Here is a picture of me wearing only the CC cream as my foundation (and bronzer on my cheeks). I think my face looks bright and fresh but some redness on my chin is still peeking through.
Overall I think this is really a great tinted moisturizer, with a great smell and a nice SPF for your daily basis. It brightens my face, hydrates it and makes it instantly looking fresh. But for a date night I would still prefer a bit more coverage. :-)
Pro: fresh clean smell, good moisturizer, great SPF of 20
Cons: pricey, only minimal coverage, can look a bit tacky on oily skin
