Thankful for Blogger Friends Tag!

I am really struggling to do all the tags and awards I am receiving. They mean a lot to me but I am not always able to do them all. This tag from Karen over at KPSAYS really intrigued me. She put quiet an effort into it as she has created this tag by herself and the questions are really nice. Go and check out her blog!

ABOUT MY BLOG:

How long have you been blogging?  Since July 2013.

Are there any bloggers who helped you out/encouraged you when you first started your blog?  Nope! I started all alone! CRY! But I have met along the way wonderful and inspiring bloggers.

What Social Media has given you the most traffic to your blog?  Is there a platform that you don’t use?  I am not sure which one gives me traffic but I am using Twitter, Instagram, Google+, Facebook, Klout, Pinterest, Youtube, bloglovin. I am pretty sure that Pinterest and Facebook are not really helpers in getting any traffic.


How often do you post?  Do you have a regular schedule?  I am trying to post from Monday to Friday, but I have not a certain schedule.

Where do you blog? In our den with a view to some palm trees! hehe!

What camera do you use?  What photo editing software do you use?  I am using for Macro shots from products a Sony Cybershot DSC-H20 and for fashion pics and my videos I use a Canon G1X. I really like to take photographs. For Instagram I use my Iphone 5. I like the App BokehPic  for nice effects.

 How did you come up with your blog name? I started my blog because I wanted to help everybody to get free beauty samples, but I discovered quickly that I have much more fun to "really" blog about beauty. So the name kinda changed from the meaning "I have free beauty samples for you" to  "I give free beauty advise to you". LOL!

 Do you do any regular “series” posts on your blog?  Well, every Thursday I will have a new OOTD post- other then that I keep everything open.

 What draws you to a blog?  The look of the blog, an honest blogger, an intelligent blogger and also a beautiful face!

 What turns you off of a blog?  We all like to have some sponsors but if I see ONLY sponsored posts on a blog I feel the person is not trust worthy anymore.

 How many blogs do you subscribe to? Are they all beauty related?  Probably around 30. Most of them are beauty or lifestyle related.

 When do you generally read blogs?  Everyday!

 What is your favorite type of post, and why?  I love lifestyle posts with great pics.

 What is your least favorite type of post, and why?  I agree strongly with Kpsays and I really do not like wish list posts. Boring! Buy it and blog about it but do not tell me your dreams! LOL! I am not gonna buy it for you!

NOW ABOUT ME:

Where do you live? Tell us a bit about your city!  I live in Sarasota, Florida.

It is all about palm trees, beaches, sun and shopping! I know it sounds like paradise, but after 9 years of living in Florida we got really a bit bored of it all and we decided to move to Atlanta next year! Wohoo!

    What about your home?  A cute house in a nice community, and yes! With a palm tree in front of it! LOL!

    Single or taken?  Married for 11 years- together since 18 years.

    Do you have children?  Yes, a smart 8 year old son.

    Do you have pets?  I have a cat- she is super cute but she wakes me up every night. Sometimes I call her "cat from hell". Her name is Smoochie but I call her "Schmusie"- the German version.

    Do you have a “day job”?  I keep the books for my husband´s business and most importantly I am a mommy!

    How tall are you?  5’7″

    Do you have siblings?  I have a 1 year older sister in Germany. (I grew up in Germany.)

    3 words to describe yourself.  Confident, smart, unique.

    Who is your style icon, and why?  I like my own style! LOL!

    3 favorite bands/musicians.  Maroon 5, Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson.

    3 favorite movies.  This is 40, The Change up, Identity thief.

    3 favorite books.  I like all books from Cecilia Ahern and Robin Cook. I am also reading a lot German books so it would not make sense to list them here.

    3 random/weird facts about you. (I am German and) I do hate soccer, beer and wurst. LOL!
