Estee Lauder Blockbuster Holiday Set 2013 FIRST IMPRESSIONS

A couple of days ago I put this beautiful Estee Lauder Set on my Christmas wish list (you can read about in my post "Be nice to your husband").

And guess what? My sweet husband got this present for me for our wedding anniversary! So excited!

I have to tell you how he did it: I was writing another blog post when my husband said that he broke something in our bathroom. I looked a little crazy at him and asked what he broke, so he said that I have to see it. I stomped in our bathroom and could not find anything. And while walking out of my bedroom I saw this cute big red box and I knew that men tricked me! LOL!

I honestly have never owned such a pretty luxurious makeup set! I love it and my husband is laughing because I just can´t take it out of the packaging! It is so pretty! It has not only this sweet blue bag but also another small golden makeup bag.

Gosh, I can not get over it how pretty this is!

So today I created my first look using this set.

I used from the Deluxe Eyeshadow Compact "Tranquil Moon" (a beautiful shimmery brown) and "Sugar Cube" (a nice neutral white). Both are incredible smooth and very pigmented. The Sugar Cube has a great highlighting effect. The only downside is that I really dislike these tiny applicators which come with it- they are so small it is hard to hold them!

Then I used the black eye pencil which is super buttery- so soft! Wow, I had to be careful not to apply too much cause the eye pencil (from JLB cosmetics) I am using right now is applying so much harder!

The Sumptuous Extreme Mascara is another dream. It creates super long lashes and never clumbs! I love it! And the wand is so smooth and feels very comfortable. And the packaging? So pretty!

On my lips I used Sugar Honey Shimmer which I like cause it still looks natural but has some shimmer in it.

The Estee Lauder Deluxe All-Over Face Compact has also only a tiny brush which I did not like. What I did is instead used my big brush from another bronzer (Profusion)  and I swiped all over it- mixing all 4 colors together! I liked that! :-)

Tada: here is my finished look:

I am very satisfied and have not even tried everything! There is more looks to come for sure!

Oh and here a little picture from our wedding 11 years ago!
